Who We Are — Cyprus Dragon Boat Federation

The Cyprus Dragon Boat Federation (CYDBF) is the official governing body for the sport of dragon boat racing in Cyprus. We develop, organise and promote dragon boat activities, training, competitions and community events across the island. Our federation supports both competitive paddlers and recreational participants, welcoming people of all ages and fitness levels to experience the sport’s unique blend of teamwork, endurance and camaraderie.

Dragon boat racing is a dynamic water sport with deep cultural roots and a growing global community. In Cyprus, the federation works with local clubs and international partners to grow the sport, organise national and international regattas, and represent Cyprus in global dragon boat events.

 

We aim to:

• Promote and support dragon boat racing in Cyprus at all levels — from grassroots to elite competition.

• Encourage participation from clubs, communities, companies and individuals — training sessions and events are open to everyone.

• Foster team spirit, fitness and healthy competition on the water.

• Coordinate with international dragon boat bodies like the International Dragon Boat Federation (IDBF), of which Cyprus is a member.​
