Accessibility Statement

Last updated: 23 January 2026

Cyprus Dragon Boat Federation is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. We aim to improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards where reasonably possible.

This Accessibility Statement applies to the website cyprusdba.org (the “Website”).

1) Our approach to accessibility

We work to make our Website usable for as many people as possible. This includes efforts to support:

  • clear navigation and consistent page structure

  • readable text and sufficient contrast (where possible within our design)

  • keyboard navigation for key interactions (where supported by the platform)

  • compatibility with assistive technologies such as screen readers (where supported)

Our Website is built using Wix, and some accessibility features depend on the capabilities of the Wix platform and your device/browser.

2) Accessibility standards

Where feasible, we aim to align with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA as a reference standard.

Please note: full conformance cannot be guaranteed across all pages and third-party components, especially where content is provided by external services or where platform limitations apply.

3) Measures we take

We take practical steps that may include:

  • using headings and structured content to support screen readers

  • providing alternative text (“alt text”) for important images where appropriate

  • avoiding unnecessary flashing or rapidly moving elements

  • maintaining consistent menus and page layouts

  • testing key user journeys (e.g., contact forms, bookings, checkout) on desktop and mobile where possible

4) Known limitations

Despite our efforts, some content or functions may not be fully accessible. Examples may include:

  • third-party widgets or embedded content (e.g., payment, maps, booking or delivery interfaces)

  • certain PDF or image-based documents (if any are posted)

  • older content or media where captions/alternative text were not originally added

We continuously work to improve accessibility and address issues when identified.

5) Need help accessing content?

If you have difficulty using any part of the Website or need information in an alternative format, please contact us. We will make reasonable efforts to help and to provide the information you need in an accessible way.
